In 1681 the King of England owed William Penn some money. He paid Penn by giving him the “rights” to the land that today is Pennsylvania. Penn established a large town, which he named Philadelphia. The name comes from the Greek words, philosand adelphos, or brotherly love. You see, even though Penn had received the “right” from England to develop the territory, he still decided to make a deal to purchase the land from the locals, the Lenape tribe. He wanted to establish a tolerant society where anyone could worship freely, and he certainly went about it the right way as it led to good relations with the Lenape. Penn really did create a City of Brotherly Love. The Brotherly Love frame from Philly EyeWorks is a simple but current rectangular shaped frame for men or women. It works well for a man as an easy, cool look, while it gives a nerdy, professional appearance to women.
All frames are sandblasted, hand dyed, and finished at our workshop in Philly.
Brotherly Love is available in 18 front colors, 12 side colors, and 2 finishes (matte or polish).
