It was May 13, 1985 in a row home on Osage Avenue when the craziest thing happened. In an effort to put an end to the ongoing conflict with a small revolutionary group named MOVE, the mayor of Philly decided to drop a bomb on the row home they were occupying. The city was ordered to let the ensuing fire burn, engulfing 61 houses in what was the first and only bombing of an American city ordered by it’s own government. One of the justifications the city of Philadelphia gave for its actions was that MOVE’s neighbors were complaining about their behavior—so they decided to drop a bomb on top of MOVE’s headquarters (and the complaining neighbors). As to be expected, both the city and MOVE have their own version of how things went down.
Osage Avenue from Philly EyeWorks won’t be able to give you the ability to see the truth of the matter regarding this bombing—but it is a clean and contemporary rectangular frame that looks great on men with an average to large sized face as well as on women with a larger sized face.
All frames are sandblasted, hand dyed, and finished at our workshop in Philly.
Osage Avenue is available in 18 front colors, 12 side colors, and 2 finishes (matte or polish).
